My Role
As the club professional I intend to be the face of the club meeting and greeting visitors and members on a daily basis, manage and promote the professional shop, provide opportunities for members and visitors, to learn and improve, engage on and off the course and assist in the day-to-day organisation of the club.
I will be taking up the Junior Organiser role, dedicating some of my work and personal time to develop the skills and golf knowledge of current and future juniors. During my early golf days, I learnt to respect and value the role of the junior organiser. It is my intention to share my knowledge, utilise my skills and pass on my values to our juniors at Congleton, working closely with parents and guardians.
Junior sections are the life line for golf clubs and I am really excited to be involved with such a strong vibrant group. My next steps are to ensure junior competitions return to the club, allow the juniors to represent the club, establish a junior team, organising matches against other local clubs and to support this I will be establishing junior group coaching between April and October 2025 as part of our pathway.
I will also have a wider role within the team at Congleton working closely with the golf and management committee to ensure we develop opportunities and support everyone.
