Meet the team
Mike started off his Golf as a young keen junior at the Chase Golf Club in Staffordshire. It is there that he met, was taught and mentored by Andrew Preston who was then the Director of Golf for Crown Golf. Mike's passion led him to be working in the Shop at 15 yrs old as a keen member and single figure golfer. Mike's 20 year relationship with Andrew has cemented his role at the club where his fresh ideas, approach and youthfulness have made him a first class Teaching Instructor with an ASQ Level 1 & 2 Certificate in Coaching Golf, trained by PGA Captain 2013/14 Neil Selwyn-Smith (Level 1) and passed by Royal Liverpool Golf Club's and past PGA captain, John Heggarty (Level 2). With his long golf shop experience to provide quality Retailer advice, specialising in PING. Mike has a superb rapport with Juniors and the Ladies and Men alike, all his hard work is now paying off, he is a great asset to the golf club.
Andrew has been Head PGA Professional at Congleton Club for 10 years and a Golf Professional for 30 years. As a player in his early career Andrew has enjoyed success in numerous professional events in the UK and abroad. An authority on all aspects of the game and a highly-regarded coach, Andrew was one of the youngest fully qualified PGA Professional at 21 passing with distinctions in all subjects.
