Congleton has a very friendly Ladies' Section, which welcomes new members of any age or ability. Our competitions are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, to give equal access to both non-working and working ladies. On most of our 18-hole medal days, we run a 9-hole Stableford competition for those ladies who prefer this format. We also have roll-ups on Tuesdays and Saturdays just for fun.
We are in the local Friendly Team league and in addition, we field a team in the Handicap B League of the East Cheshire Ladies' Golf Association. There are also a number of mixed competitions held during the year - with both Juniors and Gentlemen.
If you are a lapsed golfer, or complete beginner, our Get into Golf package is a great opportunity to combine lessons with playing golf on the course with a buddy from the Ladies' section. You also get to try all the social benefits at Congleton Golf Club. Many of the ladies who are now members have come through this introductory package.
During the year there are also a number of social events organised by the Ladies' Section including dinners, fashion shows, specialist demonstrations and talks.
